Renault completed their final pre-season test with promising results on Tuesday as test-driver Heikki Kovalainen topped the timesheets at Valencia. The Finn clocked a best time of 1:10.438 after his 123 laps, beat Honda's Anthony Davidson into second with McLaren's Kimi Raikkonen third.   McLaren test driver Pedro de la Rosa was fourth fastest in the V10-powered MP4-10, completing over a 100 laps, while Williams suffered another troublesome day as Mark Webber encountered more gearbox troubles, ending the day sixth quickest and over a second off the pace.

Oh, is this some indication so short before the start of the season ? Kovalainen faster in the Renault than Kimi in the McLaren ? And even faster than de la Rosa in the old V10 McLaren ?

If this is the current strength relationship then it is going to be a sunday walk for Renault to the championship - dominance Ferrari style
