Eddie Jordan blasts Michelin

Jordan blasts Michelin

Ex-team boss Eddie Jordan has lashed out against French tyre manufacturer Michelin, saying the reasons for their involvement in the Formula One are questionable. Jordan is 'appalled' about their approach and suggests that their proposed 2008 re-entry is only about "what [they] can get out of it."

Jordan cited the 'fiasco' at Indianapolis last year where only the six Bridgestone-shod cars out of a field of twenty ran the Grand Prix.

"I can't get Indy '05 out of my mind - it has been appalling," said Jordan in his May edition F1 Racing column. "They didn't seem to make enough effort to tackle the problem.

Hmm, I actually like Eddie Jordan but WTF is he babbling about here ? Aren't Michelin out of F1 anyway from next year or was it 2008 ? Why this attack now ? He is right, but what is the point in bringing this up right now ?

Anybody ?

I have NOT lost my mind — I have it backed up on tape somewhere.
