Red Bull tech signings continue
Posted: 05 Apr 06 6:39 PM (N/A)
Red Bull Racing has continued its recruitment drive by signing Renault’s Keith Saunt as its new Operations Director.

Saunt has been involved in Formula 1 since 1987, when he briefly worked for Lotus before moving to Benetton, the team that would later become Renault.

He will join RBR later this year, according to a statement from the squad.

Since buying Jaguar at the end of 2004, Red Bull has demonstrated its desire for victory by hiring a series of high profile figures from elsewhere in the pit lane.

The biggest achievement was undoubtedly the signing of McLaren designer Adrian Newey, who is widely regarded as the greatest aerodynamicist of the modern F1 era.

Good on them, is all I say

As you said Animal....Red Bull  desire the wins....so why in the  !!!!!!!!!  did they go for Ferrari engines.. Sauber never achieved anything with them and even Ferrari arent achieving anything with them this year... Red Bull did well last year..they wont do aswell this year I feel..I just hope that they stick with DC for next season...and as long as they have an engine that works...DC will be in his prime once again with an Adrian Newey car

Christian Horner has said in the PitBull news that if he was to rate the RBR team at the moment out of 10 - he would give it a 6..

They are still struggling from the lack of testing pre season.. but overall he reackons the car IS there...certainly shows that pace can be there....

David Coulthard he says is still leading the team very well ( just hope he remembers that and keeps him on board with this talk AGAIN of Monty possibly be heading that way...)

Lets just hope with all the new people they have been taking on and GOD FORBID  Ferrari ACTUALLY gives us an engine that WORKS !!...then we might start being on the move - getting more points... but if David is happier with the car now than at the start...then  watch your backs the likes of Williams, BMW etc...cos the  Red Bulls are going to be set free any time soon :o))
