Button pins pole in Australia
Posted: 01 Apr 06 8:51 AM (N/A)

From eurosport.com :

Button pins pole

Brit Jenson Button (Honda) has taken his third ever pole position in the Grand Prix of Australia in a day of typically unpredictable Melbourne weather. He will start Sunday's race ahead of the two Renaults of last year's Albert Park winner Giancarlo Fisichella and defending champion Fernando Alonso.

Are they finally getting the car competitive ? Seems like it ! And Rubinho is on his way directly out of F1 if he cannot get closer to Jense - I don't even think DTM will want him then

But, whatever : WOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOO ! I took the chance of betting 4 EUR at the odds of 1:7 on Buttplug taking pole - gave me 28 EUR !!!

Oh, and this should also be mentioned from the same article :

Villeneuve will start the race in nineteenth position, having been penalised for changing his engine after practice on Friday, moving Michael Schumacher (Ferrari) up onto the fifth row to start in tenth.

Erhm, didn't I read somewhere Scummi saying something like 'we're back' ?? Did he mean in the back of the field ?

I have NOT lost my mind — I have it backed up on tape somewhere.

Hey nice move there Freddie with the ' bet and win' sadly I put Kimi down for the win so didnt do so well but Im looking forward to a 'win ' tomorrow :o)

As for Buttplug getting pole....OH MY GOD ..if you had heard our UK commentators , teh likes of Mr BLUNDELL in particular... you would of thought he had pole, won every race of the season and become world champ for the 100th time... It was REALLY getting on my nerves...  OK yes I know its 'well done' to my old buddy there....but I suspect a lighter fuel load than Renault and Mclaren...Can he also get off the mark and REMAIN in 1st...that is also debateable...so we will see...I at the moment would be doubtful to even see him on the podium IF the other cars have reliabilty and can actually get passed the 1st lap..

But I have to agree the way Rubhino is driving at the moment I can see us losing 'TWO' 'Ferrari 'guys this year...Scummi will join him I feel if they cant get the car any more competitive...and  as for Massa...how long is his contract with  Ferrari...1 year?  I think it is - so guess who will be looking for a new drive next season aswell..he maybe fast but too eratic
