he was meant to, but it looks like Renault are the new Ferrari where they get what they want

That is a little unfair Animal...it was a ruling the FIA bought in last season about the engine changes if you have already retired from a race.. NO its not right - an engine change IS afterall and engine change - so not a ruling I agree with thats for sure....
But yuo cant say that Renault at some point throughout this season are not going to get penalised by this ruling... they were dont forget having to make sure it WASNT an engine problem for Alonso...
Ferrari however if they knew they had a slight thought there could be an engine problem starting off and they were out of the points....then can you REALLY see them carrying on and running the risk of losing 10 places the following race ...ermmm NOPE...their driver would be retired....THATS making use of the rules there Animal...Fisi we know had a problem even from before the race...going on from qualifying ..they did everything they could to rectify that problem without having to change the engine....for them it didnt work ...but we all heard Fisico's thoughts on that matter over the team radio during the pit stops !
