LOL nice one Nev
But seriously what are the possible implications to all of this sabotage/ releasing of team workings having on the sport?... As for Nigel Stepney - hes been in the sport for so long and so well respected IF he is responsible for any of the mysterious white powder found in the Ferrari...why would he take such steps and ruin a well built up respect from everyone in the sport??
Nick Fry from Honda said they were in touch with both people aswell...as both had applied for jobs at Honda and did Ron Dennis REALLY not know what was going on within his team... knowing him nothing really passes him that easily ....
Well, maybe he thought that the white powder would speed up the cars like white powder is supposed to to with people ?
It all does seem a bit odd. Okay, it seems pretty cut and dried that Coughlan had somehow got Ferrari data. All a bit naughty. But was Stepney involved??? Apparently he is taking Ferrari to court over his dismissal - why would he do that if he had been involved in dodgy dealings? It would be sure to come out.
Another thing I find wierd is that Stepney has said that he wanted to leave Ferrari, and Ferrari wanted rid of him but wouldn't let him go. What is the problem there? Surely that conversation should have been easy - "Mr. Montezemolo, I want to quit." "Well make sure the door doesn't slam behind you." The only thing I could think of is if Ferrari approached him first and he asked for his contract to be bought out, which they weren't prepared to do, so used Stepney as a scapegoat to get rid of him. But if money was the issue, then surely the best thing he could have done would be to accept the "no buy-out" deal and walk into a job somewhere like Toyota who have plenty of cash but no idea how to spend it. They would have welcomed someone like him with open wallets...
