Well, what to rant about??? I set my alarm, and watched it live. Was it worth my shouting at the kids due my tiredness and hangover? Well, sort of. At least, until Massa did what he does best and decided his better calling would be in the world of Rallycross. See, he surpassed all expectations last year when he managed to keep his car on the black stuff. But this time he showed his true colours by doing exactly what he will be remembered for, i.e. challenging the camera man to keep up with him when he does something, well, Massaesque.
It all got a bit dull after that. Until towards the end when Raikkonen almost threatened Hamilton. Shame that the team atround which Bridgestone based their program couldn't actually deliver, though.
But, we did get one good thing out of this - the telly graphic that showed the G forces on the drivers as they went through the corners. What is the point of that??? A red dot moving about the screen in the vain hope that we would appreciate exactly what the drivers go through. Bullshit!!! Unless we have cables attached to our heads pulling in sync to the pictures, we have no real idea what it must feel like!!!
Again, Honda have continued with their rather odd idea of plastering a globe on their car. Still don't understand that - as I said previously, good intentions, bad platform. But their lack of decent performance saves them the indigity of it being shown on international TV.
Toyota - they are who, exactly??? Anonymous is a word that could have been invented for them.
To sum up, if I am going to get up at that time on a Sunday, why can't they do the decent thing and entertain me? Sport is an entertainment, and the teams should bear that in mind.
Oh, and Coulthard saying that his pedal was rubbing against his steering column - couldn't that have been sorted on Friday???
