ROC moves to Wembley Stadium
Wembley's new stadium will host the Race of Champions end-of-season annual motorsport event in 2007.
The extravaganza, which traditionally comprises a head-to-head shoot-out between top racers from all forms of motorsport and motorcycle racing, has been staged in the Stade de France in Paris since 2004, but celebrates its 20th anniversary next year.
"I want to say a huge thank you to everyone at the Stade de France and the fantastic French fans for the three great years we have had here," said event organiser Fredrik Johnsson.
"For 2007, we have been talking to some of the world's most prestigious stadiums and I can tell you this evening that the 20th anniversary event will take place next year at the new Wembley Stadium in London, England.
"But we do hope to be able to come back here to Paris again some time in the future."
The event, which was won this year by DTM ace Mattias Ekstrom, regularly features Formula 1 stars and has in the past included world champions Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso.
This year saw David Coulthard and Heikki Kovalainen competing while Jenson Button and Scott Speed were both forced to withdraw through injury.

Yes, this is cool, eh ?
I never understood why it should be in France anyway
I have NOT lost my mind — I have it backed up on tape somewhere.
