TINY RANT : Schumacher reveals all
Posted: 26 Nov 06 9:40 AM (N/A)

From eurosport.com :

Schuey’s secrets

Michael Schumacher has given his first interview since retiring and has revealed a few secrets.

The seven time champion revealed his biggest regret in the sport, why he never drove for a German team and his plans to return to the cockpit.

Looking back on his career in a lengthy interview with German newspaper Suddeutsche Zeitung on Friday, Schuey said he most regrets the 1997 race at Jerez, where one flick of the steering wheel saw him disqualified from that year's world championship and placed one of the biggest stains on his illustrious career.

In the season finale European Grand Prix in 1997 going into the hairpin at Jerez, Schumacher turned in on Jacques Villeneuve. But he damaged his own car too much and was knocked out of the race, while the Canadian took the title.

Schumacher said, “If there were a situation in my career which I could undo, it would be this.”

The German was also highly criticised at the start of his career when he made the decision not to attend Aryton Senna's funeral in 1994.

Although he didn't reveal why at the time, he now says it was because he was contemplating his own Formula One future.

He said he instead tested to try to work out whether he was to remain in the cockpit.

“I had been in motor racing for 20 years already and I had never had a bad experience.

“On that weekend not only Senna died, but also Roland Ratzenberger. I argued with myself very intensively about the deaths of the two men and asked: ‘what did F1 and racing mean to me?'

“That was why, at the time, I went not to Aryton's funeral, but to testing. I had to know whether I could drive on, whether the sport still held joy for me.

“In addition I did not want to mourn publicly. I was later alone at Aryton's grave, along with [my wife] Corinna.”

Here are just two examples of what a liar and an egoistic asshole he is :

I just watched an interview on Top Gear with Jeremy Clarkson and Scummi yesterday, and when asked about the Jerez incident and whether he had any regrets, he answered with a clear "No, not at all - that was the name of the game". Well, certainly the name of the scum game

And the extremely bad excuse for not attending Senna's funeral - no way, asshole, many others found the time to attend so you could have, too. Why do you believe your were in a special position ? Oh, I forgot - you are, have always been and will always be a very special stupid asshole

Hope we will not have to see the above ugly face too much in future, I would really like to put this era behind me. I look forward to a racing world without this idiot.

I have NOT lost my mind — I have it backed up on tape somewhere.
