Seven-time World Champion Michael Schumacher said Sunday he would make an announcement on his Formula One future at next week's Italian Grand Prix amid speculation he may retire from the sport.

The 37-year-old Schumacher, whose contract ends at the end of this season, refused to answer questions on whether or not he was poised to hang up his helmet and overalls.

"We've fixed everything for Monza," Schumacher said during a Ferrari function at the Nurburgring circuit.

Ferrari are ready to offer Schumacher a new contract but the driver has refused to indicate he would continue in the sport.

Well, now I hope he will stick to his word and say something definitive at Monza to end this stupid speculation. I am afraid he will have another go next year, but one can always hope he will not

It was felt that if he could win the championship this year he would bow out on top....maybe now that he knows that his chances have slipped a  LITTLE and only a LITTLE>.. he will put another year in ...maybe to keep Kimi on his toes.....Not too sure how Kimi will think of playing 2nd fiddle to Scummi and then who knows he will change his mind again the following year...  Massa will also be on tenderhooks knowing what hes going to do...

Just go Scummi..you have had a good career ( if you call cheating and playing dirty handed for some of your points and wins and championships!!) but its time to hang up that racing suit for good and let the youngsters have a go !!

Kimi will NEVER accept to play second fiddle, that's why Scummi was quoted on german TV recently for having said that he would not accept Kimi as his team mate. Afraid of some real competition there, eh ?

CHICKEN !

Now that I come to think of it - when did this guy ever have any competition within his own team ?

Just remind me again who actually OWNS Ferrari...!! Just makes you wonder if Scummi's been there that long he now thinks he owns it....I really hope that Kimi does go after all Hes not going to be too chuffed if for this long hes been linked to Ferrari and then hes left in a losing car like Mclaren....Ohhh then we have Alonso to deal with ...Ohh dear !!
