First WRC race is next weekend and we decided to take up WRC this year and drop ChampCar Atlantic
WRC has no qualifying so the rules have slightly changed :
Qualifying is considered to be the standings after day 2 (of 3) and the race result is considered to be the final result. DNF will be the drivers who are not able to finish on day 3
Happy predicting everybody - roll on 2007 season !
Well that was a surprise! But it's great news that there'll be a WRC prediction competition this year, instead of Champcar Atlantic (which, from Europe, was quite a difficult series to follow!).
Would humbly suggest, however, that qualifying should be the end of Day 1 standings - not Day 2 as you state - otherwise the 'qualifying' period of each event will be longer than the 'race' period. Either way, that's a mere detail: the important thing is: how's the weather at Monte Carlo looking for the weekend?!
See you in the Service Park!
Hi, Roger
Well, day 1 is friday and the competition closes at friday midnight before race date so the 'qualifying' would take place before deadline. That would make it really easy to predict the qualifying
I am not too sure about the wheather - Monte Carlo is about 5 hours drive from where I live
Good answer Freddie! The fact that rallies get started before the weekend is one of the many little differences between the WRC and all the other categories covered by Racing Predictions. I'm sure we'll find some more as the season rolls on....!
Yeah, we will solve any problems as they come - main thing is that we have some fun with the prediction games.
Of course I could change the software since I wrote it all myself, but I just thought it would be easier if it could be squeezed into the existing format somehow
I am spending my available time on the development of a new game for the site which I hope I can complete before the F1 season starts
