I think I just got the copy database wizard to work, but I really need a break now (and a beer) before I attempt something like this

Funny that I had to manually create an empty dummy database before the copy function became available - Microsoft logic ?

Running on MS SQL Server 2005 now - hopefully everything keeps working. I am going for a walk with the dogs now

It seemed that the modem also took a blast from that power failure because it has been suffering a very slow death over the last two weeks. I am sure many of you will have noticed that the site was offline very often

Finally got a replacement modem today and it has now been running since noon - now everything should finally be back to normal - sorry for the problems

Oh, I have not yet shut down the old database server although I am sure it is not used by any clients anymore. Perfectly sure ! Well, you never know ? No, I am really 100% sure, going to shut it down now. Nah, maybe I'll wait until the weekend - but there is a race next weekend. OK, I will at least wait until tomorrow, any objections ? OK then tomorrow
