Hmm just popped over to the old site to have a look...Must admit I found some of thecomments on there pretty offensive especially all the work Steve did for animal protection...the love and care and time he put into the Australi zoo to make sure their environment was as close to its natural inhabitat as possible...Steve never  used OR abused animals.... He made documentaries to show animals in their wild inhabitat and gave many of us the chance to see these animals...how they live etc that we would never normally of seen....My god next thing they will be calling RichardAttenboroug a animal hater who used animals for his career...

I totally backed the come thread on there that said it was unbelieveable that a thread that was started off to show respect to a much loved guy had turned into such a bad tasted thread..

Has Richard Attenborough done a lot of work with animals? I know his brother David has...

To be honest, I wasn't much of a Steve Irwin fan - I always thought his personality was too over the top, and played to a cliche of what an Australian should be like. But, that is not to take away what he did for conservation.
